Ooh La La Decor Leads Volunteer Effort of Common Spaces at U.S. Vets Home in Phoenix

On May 19, 2017, two National groups, the Interior Design Society and the Accessories Resource Team got together and combined efforts to give back to the Phoenix Veterans Community by working to visually improve their current facility housing homeless, low-income and disabled veterans.

Julie Ahearn, of Ooh La La Decor, led the group effort for IDS for the 2 common areas, main lobby and recreation room.  The areas were devoid of any furnishings that would make the space feel more like a home or a space anyone would want to just hang out in.  Through fundraising efforts and generous donations from many companies, Julie was able to make a decorating plan for these areas.  These areas were transformed from industrial looking bare boned rooms into welcoming, colorful rooms decorated with a patriotic flair.
